The new, 123 Art Ring Canvas is a great way to enhance the hands-on experience with VEX 123!

You can use the canvas to customize the 123 Robot to suit the theme of an Activity or STEM Lab. Or, you can encourage students to use it to personalize the robot based on their own ideas and interests.

When added to the Art Ring, the drawing on the canvas stands up and wraps around the 123 Robot. See how easy it is to use the canvas in this video.

I am a big fan of the Art Ring in general - and these Canvas cutouts make it even easier to turn your 123 Robot into whatever you want. I could see giving students each their own individual Art Ring Canvas to decorate however they want, and using them as a way to help kids take turns during 123 lessons and activities. When your Canvas is on, it’s your turn to touch the 123 Robot, when its not, it’s your turn to use the Coder, etc.

They would also be great for a “you finished early” activity! Keep a bunch of preprinted Canvases in a basket with drawing materials, and kids can make them and take them, or make them and keep them for another day.
