My 3rd graders just began learning about comparing and contrasting. We read a few stories in our reading series that compared and contrasted animals. I had each student pick 2 animals from the stories. They created a Venn Diagram with a list of the similarities and differences between the 2 animals, then completed a Vex Go build to represent the animals.

These are fantastic @Tina_Dietrich! I love the interpretations of animals that your students have done - what a great way to incorporate STEM into a language arts lesson!
I second that - great idea! Also, now I know a little bit about a Chuckwalla, which I must admit I didn’t know existed!
