My students are building the VEX GO Competition Advanced robot for our school VEX GO Ocean Competition coming up. However, a lot of them, even they build exactly according to the directions, have the little red gear on the moveable arm popping off, and then the arm not lifting.
Anyone else encounter this? Any tips of how to secure the red gear better? Or any other build ideas that would make a moveable arm?

Hi Jessica. Do you have these two red pins in place?
These pins don’t clip to the red gear, but when assembled they are inside the concave section of the gear which stops them popping off.
Thanks @Chris_Calver ! Students do have those in place, but definitely a good detail to double check on their builds.
What is so awesome… my students figured out a modification that has been working really well!!
The black spacer is taken out, and then yellow standoffs instead of blue.
Great problem solving from your students, that is what it is all about!
