Flexible Instructional Days (FIDS) for Robotics Classes

Next year, our school has been approved for five Flexible Learning Days to use in case of inclement weather, power outages, etc. We will need to give the students a packet on the first day of school. Any ideas that I can use?

Here is the criteria:

  • Each FID should be an independent lesson activity with everything that the student needs to complete it – on paper, does not require internet or other resources, or texts.
  • FIDS are lessons that can be completed independent of where you are in your scope and sequence of curriculum.
  • FIDS are course specific and must be relevant and applicable to your curriculum. Every class will have it’s own unique FIDS.
  • Each teacher will create FIDS for five instructional days – each should be labeled appropriately FID Day One, FID Day Two, FID Day Three, etc.

Thanks in advance!
