When doing the hangout activity what is a field tile?
Also, you can use weight to weigh down the base, right?

A field tile comes in the VEX IQ Classroom Bundle, and allows you to operate your robot on the same surface that the VEX IQ Competition plays on! It’s basically a component you can use to drive your IQ robot on, other than just using the floor or a desk (see attached image of said field tile).
In terms of the Hangout Activity, you’re not allowed to use it as it has a large surface area, meaning paired with your Hangout device it would be very difficult to lose. Thus in creating a challenge, it is not allowed in this activity.
Any part in the VEX IQ kit can be used as weight in this activity. However, only parts from the VEX IQ kits can be used as weights so books, laptops, or other heavy objects aren’t allowed. I hope this information is helpful, and I’d love to see what y’all come up with!
