I just installed the latest version of VEXcode on my Mac. I was prompted to update the brain so I clicked update. My computer has been stuck with the following message:

It was like this for about 30 mins so I quit vexcode, opened it again and then clicked update again. This time it updated and told me to power off the brain and then turn it back on.
Everything seems to be working ok now but I am wondering why this would happen. I was afraid to stop any update in progress for fear of turning my brain into a brick.
The only thing I can think of is that the battery was low (plugged in, but low) and that by the second time I tried it was charged more.
Has anyone else had experiences like these? What kind of information should I collect to help the folks at VEX improve the update experience?
