Motors not working

I have a few VEX IQ Gen 2 motors that are not working. Any ideas how to get them to work or new ones.

I am completing the Up and Over challenge with my 7th grade classes. We are using the Clawbot with the controller. We have used the Drive Train motors so we know they were working. But when we connected the Arm and Claw there were a few that one of the 2 would not move. I changed ports, changed wires and the only thing that seems to make it work is change the motor with a robot not yet built.

I have a couple questions to help diagnose the problem:

  • Which ports are the arm and claw motor connected to?
  • Are either or both motors showing up when you open the Sensor Dashboard?
  • Are you using the default Drive program from the Brain?
  • Is there anyway you could include images or a video to show how they’re not working?
