Using VEX 123 Practicing Singular to Plural Word Endings

My teachers decided they wanted to develop a lesson where students could practice skills they were learning in class with the VEX 123. They printed a variety of singular and plural words and taped some of them onto the VEX field. Then, students drew a card that had a word on it and they had to find the singular or plural word that matched the card they drew and then code the VEX puck to the correct word. Students practiced writing an algorithm by drawing arrows in order from left to right on their planning sheet, then used that to enter the code. This was helpful so if they made a mistake they could easily de-bug their program. It is another fun way to practice content with VEX 123.

What a fantastic lesson! And this format can easily be adapted for so many different phonics and literacy skills! Amazing!

@Tammi_Pickering This is such a fun way to practice this really important literacy skill - so much better than a worksheet. Thanks for sharing!
